Bye-bye Cheapo Audio Adapter!
I finally threw away the USD$3.50 Made in China audio adapter that I bought last week. It was giving me too much trouble. I have to plug it in a couple of times before it gets recognized by the phone and I was getting worried that it might eventually damage my pop port. So today, to the garbage bin it went!

I went to Greenhills and I finally bought the Nokia AD-15. I shopped around and found that I really had just two choices. I chose the AD-15 over the AD-46 simply because it had a much shorter cable. The AD-15 can only do one thing, which is to provide for a headphone output jack for nokia users via the pop port. The AD-46, on the other hand, has much more features such as integrated FM antenna, remote control, built-in microphone, volume control and a clip attachment. I figured out that I really didn’t need the other features that the AD-46 offered, and for half the price and maybe one-tenth of the cable length, the AD-15 will make a handy addition to my E61 arsenal.
There are other audio adapters by nokia, but most of them have built in earphones, and I wanted to be able to use my own.
