Heroes, Hiro Nakamura
Just an Off-Topic post.
One of my new favorite TV shows, Heroes, features the Japanese character that can bend space and time, Hiro Nakamura using the Nokia N73 in the last few seconds of the 5th episode.
Since I’m already posting about a tv show using Nokia phones, Mary Louise Parker’s character in Weeds, Nancy Botwin, uses the E61 in her blooming marijuana business. 
My theory on Heroes is that Peter Petrelli is the ultimate heroe, that is why Hiro came to him with the message to “save the cheerleader”. Peter really could’nt fly,,he must have seen his big brother doing it in the past and dreamed of it from that point on. Nathan Petrelli OBVIOUSLY flys very well. My reason for picking Peter as apposed to Hiro who can bend time and space , is that Peter has the ability to borrow or assume the abilities of other heroes. I dont think he could fly until he made physical contact with his brother as he fell off the building. I also dont really think he could hypno-paint until he came in contact with Issac ,,,even though he says he had had this sort of vision himself. Makes sense to me,,,,no? If Im right, I wonder what power he may have touched off on when he was confronted by the future Hiro.

With that said, Im sure that once Peter,or whom ever, finds a way to get all these heroes together ,he would be more powerful than all of them having taken a share of their abilities…….esp. the cheerleader.

the name of the oriental is hiro, not hero. I wasnt refering to him anyway , Peter Petrelli is the one with the ability to borrow other heroes powers. In that way ,yes he is much like Rouge.
But not Hiro,,,,,,his ability is to bend time and space.

or maybe the reason Hiro came to Peter Petrelli is that only Peter and Hiro can exist in that time vacuum because Peter can borrow Hiro’s power. Hiro didn’t just teleport to the future, he came only to Peter to avoid a rift in the time-space continuum. now i’m sounding super geeky. heheh i love the show nonetheless.
don’t you feel though that they borrow alot of stuff from xmen and just change the gender?

Anyway,,,,Agwe23,,,You are correct, about Heroes stealing contents of their story from Xmen ,but then, Xmen stole from other shows and comic books that came out before all of this.
Your thoughts on Hiro and Peter prove my theory is right.
Since this Hiro is from the future, he knows that only Peter has the power to share his abilities,,,,which is why Peter is the chosen one………………………….On the flip side, the cheerleader’s father and his henchman kidnapped the cop and I believe the henchman also has the ability to steal powers. I think he stole some from the cop. If this is true then this mystery guy might be the ultimate adversary to Peter and the world.

i don’t think the black dude steals powers. he erases memories. and i have a funny feeling that the cheerleader’s dad isn’t as bad as he’s being portrayed. maybe he’s just part of some covert government agency trying to monitor super humans, he has the black guy similar to that pen in MIB, to erase their trace.
it’s sylas that steals powers. maybe similar to anne rice’s character’s in her vampire chronicles maharet and mekareh (? not sure of my spelling) eating brains and hearts of other important vampires to imbue themselves of their wisdom and powers.

yeah, the episode last night was great! its just that new powers are popping out every week and now it’s exciting but after awhile it might get tiring. i would want the plot to be moved forward a bit more rather than having peripheral characters introduced.
It would be cool if Hiro did a Nokia commercial calling himself from the future or something… I just love Hiro!
haha. i wonder why alot of ppl love hiro so much. my favorite characters in the series are actually the cheerleader and the shrewd congressman. i didn’t like what they did to the empath in the last episode. where when she went out on a mission she was all slick and black and very matrix-trinity-like. couldn’t she go out in her normal street clothes? does she really need to don a costume?
does anyone know where i can find the symbian theme for the show “heroes”? i would really appreciate it…i really love the show…
